A complexion stick for small corrections

Looking at MERIT's The Minimalist as a way to simplify coverage, not as a reason to add another step.

  1. 1

Morning: start with the places that need it

The attraction of a stick is restraint. A little around the nose, under the eyes, or over a mark can be more useful than turning a five-minute face into a full base routine.

  2. 2

At midday: see what is still visible

A natural finish should tolerate the fact that skin is textured and expressive. Instead of adding more immediately, I would look in daylight, notice where the formula has settled, and decide whether one small touch-up is genuinely needed.

  3. 3

Before ordering: do the unglamorous work

Shade matching is the whole point. Use the brand's shade finder, look at undertone rather than only depth, and keep the return terms open while choosing. A compact product is only simplifying if the color disappears into skin.

Makeup becomes calmer when the product has one clear job and is allowed to do only that.
